Creating a Productivity Schedule
Listen, we all have lives and we’re all trying to grow our businesses while dealing with distractions, heck even the holidays.
Some are also trying to grow a business while working a 9-5 and you’re having a hard time fitting everything in. This is where a schedule helped me greatly when I started out, when I was a wreath seller only and not a teacher. So before my groups and how my business shifted. When I used a schedule (click here for a sample), everything seemed to run smoother and I got a lot more done than when I didn’t have a schedule and tried to ‘wing’ it.
No matter what your life situation is, there’s time to be had. So I encourage you to go through a full day and write down what you’ve done every 15 minutes in my time tracker sheet. You’ll start to see a pattern on items you can cut back in order to put more time into your creative business.
For example, do you wake up and read the newspaper for 30 minutes, then make coffee and catch up on social media for another 20? There is 50 minutes there you can use.
Or at the end of the day, do you sit and watch Hallmark movies or the Voice at the end of the day? Yep, more time.
You’ll be shocked on what you discover.
Some things need to be done but not necessarily by you. For example, we had laundry to do. Instead of me doing everybody’s laundry, we put it on each person to handle their own laundry. Or the errands that need to be done. Can someone else in the family do them?
So use this blank schedule and start to write your own productivity calendar. Don’t forget to map out time for eating, sleeping and family time.
And to help you out on keeping your social media postings completed, I’ve created a sample social media schedules (Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram). Use it or make your own based on this.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you. This is awesome!
This was the information given in 2018. It’s now 2021 is it up to date?
Yes. It was my schedule I used when getting started but you should adjust it to fit your schedule.
Thanks for sharing this information with us Julie!
My personal life is scheduled, I work a 13 hours night shift Monday-Thursday, and I felt very frustrated today that I was not getting much accomplished in my wreath business. Your words resonated with me, I need to create a schedule and stick to it. I’m on it!
Thanks Julie!
