If you’re learning how to make silk flower wreaths and arrangements, one of the biggest tips I can share with you is to make sure that your artificial flowers look as realistic as possible.

When I’m working with plastic grasses, they get misshapen in the shipping process. To fix this, I use the back of my scissors and run it down the blade of the grass which opens up the grass making it look like a waterfall. This technique gives airiness and texture to your wreaths and arrangements.

Do you put artificial flower arrangements in your home for the spring or Easter? I love that I don’t have to keep them watered to look fresh.

Last week I showed you how I made this artificial cutie on our YouTube Channel with realistic-looking silk flowers, so real I wanted to smell them. 😂

This Easter Bunny arrangement will look beautiful on the Easter buffet or Easter tablescape.

The entry for the Florists Review Magazine Best in Blooms contest was constructed on to two pieces, the lantern they provided with the flowers and a red ceramic candlestick I’ve had in the shop for years. I knew I wanted my flowers to flow from the back of the lantern, through it, and cascade down the front so therefore it needed to elevated.

Since the candlestick was red I painted everything white to look like it is one piece.

Wreath friend, I’m finally able to reveal my entry into the Florist’s Review Magazine “Best in Blooms” contest using permanent botanicals! 🥳

I was chosen as a finalist and was challenged to use silk flowers and a lantern gifted from Melrose International. This is what I created with the supplies. 🥰
