Today’s design is a blue winter Christmas wreath, inspired by a winter spray I found with icy accents and large blue berries.

How to make a blue Christmas wreath
1. Tie a blue Christmas ribbon
The first step in making this winter grapevine wreath is to tie your bow. Measure a streamer of “Merry Christmas” ribbon, pinch, and pleat. Measure 12” for a 6” loop, pinch, and twist. Repeat for a total of 3 loops, then trim the tail.
Repeat these steps with your navy ribbon, working on top of this base.
Finally, repeat these steps with your blue ribbon, this time measuring 10” for a single 5” loop.
Secure the center of your bow with florist wire, then use its ends to attach it to the side of your grapevine wreath.
2. Add winter sprays
Trim the long stems on your 2 winter sprays. Secure them behind your bow using hot glue, one on top and one on the bottom. Secure long stems with bind wire to keep them from wobbling.
Then, divide a winter spray with smaller blueberries into 5 pieces, removing the pinecones to add them back later. Use these to make the greenery base filler, securing the stems with hot glue.
3. Include blue florals
Clip down cuttings of deep blue ranunculus; if its greenery is yellow-green, trim this off as well. Hot glue these blooms throughout your base, aiming for an even distribution of color.
4. Add frosty accents
To add more winter details to this design, cut small clippings of frosted greenery. Add small pieces around the bow area for brightness and focus longer stems around the outer edge of the design. Secure each with hot glue.
Include cuttings of white jingle bells, securing larger bells closer to the bow.
Finally, hot glue small clippings of platinum leaves throughout the base.
5. Finishing touches
Take a moment to angle-cut your ribbon ends and add extra ribbon streamers as you’d like.
Hot glue miniature pinecones into the bow loops and throughout the design. Use florist or bind wire as needed, wrapping it around the pinecone base and adding florist picks for stability.
And with a final fluff, your blue winter Christmas wreath is ready to enjoy!
