Easter Bunny Basket Tulip Table Arrangement Tutorial

Sharing is caring!

Y’all, this one just makes my heart so happy. I am absolutely in love with this Easter Bunny Basket Tulip Arrangement, and I think it might be one of the most whimsical, garden-fresh designs I’ve ever created. The bunny basket handle is the star of the show, but wait until you see it filled with all those gorgeous silk spring blooms!

What I love most about this design is how versatile it is. It looks stunning as an Easter table centerpiece, a mantel display, a countertop vignette, or even as a thoughtful handmade gift. And because we’re using high-quality silk flowers, it lasts season after season, none of that wilting and drooping you get with fresh flowers!

The color palette in this arrangement is everything I love about spring: soft pinks, peachy corals, fresh yellow, creamy white, and the most gorgeous pop of periwinkle blue from the delphinium. All nestled in a moss-covered grapevine bunny basket surrounded by lush, cascading greenery. It looks like it came straight from a cottage garden.

Easter Bunny Basket Tulip Arrangement Step-By-Step Instructions

Follow along with the video above or use these written steps as your guide. You are going to love how this turns out!

1. Prepare Your Basket & Foam

Cut your dry floral foam brick to fit snugly inside the bunny basket. It should be a tight fit so it doesn’t shift.

Hot glue the foam in place for extra security.

Cover the top of the foam completely with sheet moss, securing it with florist pins or a small amount of hot glue around the edges.

This gives your arrangement a beautiful, garden-fresh look and completely hides all mechanics.

Tip: Push your finger into the moss-covered foam to make sure it’s secure before adding any flowers. A wobbly foam base makes everything harder!

2. Build Your Greenery Framework

Before adding a single flower, establish the shape and scale of your arrangement with greenery.

Insert fern sprays, lemon leaf stems, and mixed foliage into the foam all around the basket, extending beyond the sides and cascading forward over the front edge.

The arrangement should fan out generously on both sides and drape slightly in front. Think of this greenery as the canvas your flowers will paint themselves on.

Tip: Use your tallest, most upright greenery stems toward the back and center, and draping stems toward the front and sides for a natural, overflowing look.

3. Place Your Focal Flowers

Now the fun begins!

Insert your largest, most beautiful blooms first.

Place pink tulips toward the back-left, angling them upward for height and drama.

Cluster your peach ranunculus near the center-front as the main focal point — these full, layered blooms are the eye-catching heart of the arrangement.

Add yellow tulips or poppies low and toward the right side for color contrast and balance.

Vary the heights of all your focal flowers so they feel natural and unstaged.

4. Add Mid-Size Accent Blooms

Work in your supporting flowers. White anemones tucked lower toward the front so their open faces peek out beautifully, and a pink gerbera daisy or two on the right side to balance the arrangement.

Turn all flower faces forward and slightly upward. You want every bloom to be seen when someone looks at the centerpiece from across the table.

Pro Tip: No two flower stems should be exactly the same height right next to each other. Stagger by at least an inch for a natural, garden-gathered look.

5. Add Your Filler Flowers for Depth & Color

This step brings the whole arrangement to life! Tuck blue delphinium or forget-me-not stems throughout. The blue tones against all that pink and yellow is absolute magic.

Add pink wax flower or berry stems for texture and a fresh, botanical feel.

White blossom branches or mini filler flowers can cascade over the basket edges for an airy, wildflower-garden effect. Fill in from all sides.

This arrangement will be viewed from every angle!

6. Fill In, Step Back & Fluff

Walk around your arrangement and look at it from every angle, front, sides, and even slightly from above.

Fill any visible gaps with small greenery snippets hot-glued directly into place.

No foam or mechanics should be visible anywhere.

Gently bend any silk flower stems so they angle outward and fill the space naturally.

Give all the flowers and greenery a final “fluff” opening up petals, spreading leaves, adjusting for fullness. Step back, admire your work, and prepare to get ALL the compliments!

Pro Tip: If your arrangement feels “flat” from one side, add a few more stems of trailing greenery or small filler flowers to that side. Silk arrangements should look lush from every direction.

Easter Bunny Basket Arrangement FAQs

Here are the questions I hear most about this design!

What flowers are in this Easter bunny basket?

This arrangement features pink and yellow silk tulips, peach ranunculus as the focal flower, white anemones, pink gerbera daisies, blue delphinium for color contrast, pink wax flower filler, white blossom branches, and an abundance of mixed spring greenery including ferns, lemon leaf, and maidenhair fern.

How do you make a silk flower arrangement in a basket?

Start by fitting a dry floral foam brick inside the basket and covering it with sheet moss. Then build your greenery framework first, followed by focal flowers (your largest blooms), then mid-size accent flowers, and finally filler flowers and small greenery to fill all gaps. The key is to make it look full and beautiful from every direction since it functions as a centerpiece.

Where can I find a moss-covered grapevine bunny basket?

Moss-covered grapevine bunny baskets are typically available at Hobby Lobby, Michael’s, and Jo-Ann Fabrics in the Easter seasonal section. You can also find plain grapevine baskets and cover them yourself with sheet moss and hot glue. Check Amazon and Etsy too if you can’t find one locally!

Can I make this arrangement as a gift?

Absolutely and it makes a GORGEOUS one! Because silk flowers never wilt or die, this arrangement can be kept and displayed year after year. It’s a beautiful and lasting alternative to fresh cut flowers for Easter, Mother’s Day, or a spring hostess gift. Many Everbloom members make these to sell at craft shows with wonderful results!

How long does this arrangement take to make?

Most crafters can complete this arrangement in about 45–60 minutes. If you’re newer to silk flower arrangements, give yourself 90 minutes to enjoy the process. Having all your supplies prepped and cut before you start makes things move much faster!
