Bouquet flower clip arrangements

Have y’all heard about bottle bouquet clips?

If not, let me introduce you! These wine bottle clips are double-sided, with one end clipping onto a bottle and the other just begging for a gorgeous bouquet.

I’ve shared some of these designs in the past, like my Spring Flower Wine Bottle Bouquet and Wine Bottle Flower Bouquet Arrangements.

And today, I’m sharing how to make easy flower clip arrangements for endless design possibilities.

This method works perfectly for both wine bottles and pillar candles. They’re excellent for any springtime events, adding a little filler to your craft show table.

Plus, they’re a great way to add some extra beauty to a gifted bottle of wine.

So without further ado, let’s get crafting!

Supplies for this project

You’ll need:

  • Bottle bouquet clips
  • Desert foam
  • U-pins
  • 4” Silk ribbon
  • Straight pins
  • Faux greenery clippings (3 varieties)
  • Coordinating faux florals
  • Candle or bottle base
  • Hot glue
  • Scissors

How to make bouquet flower clip arrangements

1. Prepare your bottle clip

Wine bottle clips are usually black, though you can paint them any color you need.

Start by spray painting your bottle clip to match your color scheme – I like to choose a color that coordinates with the bottle label.

Once the clip is completely dry, place a block of desert foam into the clip to create an indent. Then, cut out the indent and push the foam round into the clip.

You can level the top with a knife, if needed.

Finally, place a bit of moss over the desert foam, securing with a couple of u-pins.

2. Decorate your base

If you are working on a pillar candle, wrap a 4” ribbon around the base of the candle and secure it with straight pins.

Then, attach the bottle bouquet clip to the candle base.

If working on a bottle, this ribbon step is optional.

3. Add faux florals and greenery

Begin by adding a few focal florals to the flower clip arrangement, dipping stems in hot glue before sticking them into the desert foam. I began with white crocus flowers.

Next, add greenery clippings on multiple levels for a varied design. This is a great chance to use up leftovers.

I use 3 different types of greenery for the most visual interest.

Finally, I add branches for whimsy, then hot-glue a second variety of flowers to these branches.

4. Try new color combinations

Repeat this process for endless color combinations.

For my second design, I chose contrasting blue and yellow florals, varied greenery, and a coordinating blue ribbon.

Adjust your color palette based on the season, special occasion, or whim!
