How to Make an Autism Awareness Wreath
- Begin by attaching zip tie hooks to the back of the sign with hot glue.
- Wrap pipe cleaners through the zip tie hooks and attach to the wreath.
- Now it’s time to make the bow. I made a Funky Bow using 4 coordinating ribbons. For bow-making details, check out my How to Make Bows page.
- Attach the bow to the wreath using florist wire.
- Next, add greenery pieces around the bow using hot glue. If using greenery bushes, detach individual stems before adding to the wreath. Trim stems as needed.
- For added dimension and interest, I added tufts of yellow Deco Mesh around the bow using hot glue.
- Detach your silk flowers from flower bushes and add individual stems to the wreath using hot glue. Again, I added flowers around and out from the bow. Don’t forget to add some flowers and/or greenery in the bow loops.
- For a finishing touch, add some of the long greenery pieces trailing down one side. You can also add smaller pieces around the rest of the wreath to fill in as needed.

If you were asked to make a wreath for a baby girl but the mother wanted, I guess you would call it a theme, a miracle baby wreath, what would be your suggestion on it?
This is beautiful & perfect
Thank you!

Hi Julie, I have just started making wreaths again. Love love love your wreaths and tutorials ,and of course You. I am desperately looking for the components to make the Autism Wreath for my dearest friend,of 57+ years. Her grandson has autism. I would love to make a wreath for her and her daughter. Can you help me find what I need. Thank you in advance. Sincerely, Renee
I listed the items in the post on where I purchased the supplies for this wreath. The supplies are to give you an idea, not necessarily duplicate exactly, especially since suppliers run out of items all the time. You can also try Etsy for a sign, ribbon, etc.
