A CIJ sale will help to generate income during the slow summer months and its also a good way to clear out inventory to get ready for adding more inventory for the holiday season.
You decide on the dates but the CIJ sale Etsy team typically runs the first week of July and I like to ride their coat tails and momentum. Don’t be afraid to extend your sale too if the sale is going great. But planning starts in June.
Create a calendar to keep you on schedule. Plan in June by making your products. Two weeks out start to create your email campaigns and your social media graphics. One week out start to talk about it on Lives and even create a FB event so you can post updates there. If you need help getting the sales started, have flash sales. For example, for 24 hours this wreath with be discounted even more than the regular sale.
Create a shop section in order to drive your social media to it.
Use the correct keywords in the titles and tags (more on this in part 2). Either use the EtsyonSale.com app (especially if you want to offer $ amount off) or you can use the app within the Etsy dashboard (Dashboard>Marketing>Sales & Coupons>New Special Offer>Run a Sale
