Lovely arrangement, Laurie Ann! You mentioned that if you had had more time, you might have painted the pumpkin. Can you explain how you would paint it? Type of paint you”d choose? Would it need sealer? Etc… Thanks.
Hey Therese! The paint method I would use is called the “baby wipe” method. It simply is using a baby wipe with a small amount of paint on it and gently wiping the paint over the item you wish to apply the paint to. It is kind of like “white washing” an item. You can apply as much or as little paint you’d like to the item you are painting on and this technique gives a “shading” effect. Acrylic paint is used for this process and if designing a centerpiece or indoor arrangement is it is NOT necessary to seal it. If you were designed something for outdoors, then yes, make sure you seal it. Hope that helps. 🙂
Could you have made the styrofoam a bit larger to give u more room for picks?
Really beautiful!
Yes you can make the styrofoam a bit larger to give you more room. The size I used is simply a suggestion. You can use whatever size you’d like to use.
Really beautiful… I’m going to make on for my late daughter birthday on Oct. 14th s/w have been 47. Thank you sincerely Laurie Anne
#Replay- Thanks Laurie Ann! Beautiful Fall arrangement!
#replay I enjoyed this tutorial so much Laurie Ann! The arrangement turned out fabulous! It really came together for me when you added the very last element being the red! It was beautiful before you added that, but after that element, it was more airy and really popped! Your awesome! Thank you!
