Lovely arrangement, Laurie Ann! You mentioned that if you had had more time, you might have painted the pumpkin. Can you explain how you would paint it? Type of paint you”d choose? Would it need sealer? Etc… Thanks.

Hey Therese! The paint method I would use is called the “baby wipe” method. It simply is using a baby wipe with a small amount of paint on it and gently wiping the paint over the item you wish to apply the paint to. It is kind of like “white washing” an item. You can apply as much or as little paint you’d like to the item you are painting on and this technique gives a “shading” effect. Acrylic paint is used for this process and if designing a centerpiece or indoor arrangement is it is NOT necessary to seal it. If you were designed something for outdoors, then yes, make sure you seal it. Hope that helps. 🙂

Could you have made the styrofoam a bit larger to give u more room for picks?

Yes you can make the styrofoam a bit larger to give you more room. The size I used is simply a suggestion. You can use whatever size you’d like to use.
