How to make a year round mesh wreath

1. Add deco mesh

First up, the deco mesh!

Start with the pouf method on the top level of your evergreen base. Drop your burlap mesh roll to the ground, then roll the end over and gather it in your fist.

Tie this end between two pine ties, pinch a 10” pouf, then secure it onto the next pine ties. Continue around the wreath, trim a 4” end, and zip tie it to the back.

For the bottom layer, we’ll use the curl method.

Put your burlap roll on your workstation, pull the mesh to your chin, and trim. Cut 10 pieces, then repeat with the white mesh.

Curl the edges under one burlap piece, folding in and pinching the center. Do the same with a white piece, gathering both together.

Twist this bundle into a bottom pine tie, then repeat around the wreath.

2. Attach your sign

Loop florist wire through your sign’s top and bottom holes. Weave the wires around the base and twist to secure your sign.

3. Tie coordinating bows

Measure a 12” tail of burlap ribbon, pinch, and pleat. Then, measure 12 for a 6” loop, pinch, and twist. Repeat for a second loop, then trim the tail.

Repeat these steps for all of the 1 ½” ribbons, measuring 5” loops and working on top of this base.

Add a long black and white dot streamer to the back of the bow, then secure the center with florist wire. Attach this bow to the top left of the wreath and dovetail the streamer ends.

Repeat these steps for a second bow, adding to the bottom right corner of the wreath.

4. Add ribbon streamers to your year round mesh wreath

Cut two 18” streamers of black and white dot ribbon. Add one to the top right of your wreath, and the second to the bottom left.

Fill in with six 12” black and tan streamers. Dovetail all ribbon ends.

5. Integrate greenery and florals

To soften this design, add small clippings of fern around the outer and inner edges. Use hot glue to secure each piece.

Follow this with dogwood flowers, eucalyptus, and eucalyptus berry blooms for more texture and beauty. Use steel picks as necessary.

And with a final fluff, your design is complete!
