How to make a fall floral wreath
1. Add deco mesh to the base
First up, prep your evergreen wreath with 18” pieces of deco mesh. I used light burlap, beige, and orange.

2. Include magnolia leaves
Next – magnolia leaves!
Evenly disperse olive green and orange magnolia leaves around the outer edge of the wreath, crisscrossing colors and securing everything with hot glue.
Repeat with the inner edge.
3. Tie an autumn bow
For our autumn bow, start with a 12” tail of dark brown ribbon, pinch, and pleat. Then, measure 12”, pinch, pleat, and twist for a 6” loop. Repeat for a total of 2 loops, then trim a 12” tail.
Repeat these steps with the orange ribbon, working on top of this base. For this ribbon, make 4 loops in total.
Repeat these steps again for the plaid ribbon, this time shortening the loops to 5”.
Make a small, final loop of orange ribbon in the center, then secure it with florist wire. Attach the bow to the bottom right of your wreath.
4. Add ribbon accents
To make the most of your beautiful ribbons, we’re going to add some more accents. Add loops of ribbon throughout your wreath, securing them between evergreen twist ties.
You can layer your ribbons or use solo varieties. Just making sure that what you do to one side, you do to the other.
We’re looking for an even display of color throughout the design.
5. Break up color with greenery
To break up some of the ribbon details, begin adding small sprigs of light green greenery throughout the wreath, securing everything with hot glue.
Then, add bead grass using the same concept. This variety is more linear and airy, adding variety to the design.
6. Add flowers to your fall floral wreath
For florals, evenly space your three beige sunflowers through the wreath, securing them with hot glue.
Next, counterbalance this with cream dahlias, creating a separate triangle of them. You can also add a couple of smaller buds if you have them on hand.
7. Finish with texture
Finish your fall floral evergreen wreath with a few bits of autumn berries, filling in holes throughout the design.
This is going to elevate the finished product, giving it more texture and beauty.
