How to make a snowy peony silk flower table arrangement
1. Prepare the base
Begin by preparing your base, adding a cut of florist foam to your cylinder vase, and covering the top with a bit of faux moss.
2. Establish the form
Next, you’re going to establish the form using faux greenery.
Start by pinning a length of cedar horizontally to your foam, using a bend of florist wire to secure it. We’re aiming for a long and low base.
Then, pin another length of cedar on the opposite side to create one long line.
For more texture and contrast, begin filling in with clippings of dark green greenery, then additional cedar to create more length to the design.
3. Include silk flowers
For our focal point, we’re going to use two large snowdrift peonies, stuck into the center of your arrangement.
Fill in around your focal flowers with a few white roses.
4. Add textured greenery
For more texture, add flocked greenery evenly placed throughout the arrangement. Attach weak stems using florist picks or a steel pick machine.
Then, add snowy leaves for even more wintery appeal.
5. Include holiday extras
To make this design shine for the holidays, you’re going to add holiday picks with silver bells and ornaments.
Add one on each side of the floral centerpiece, going in the same direction as the established cedar base in a horizontal line.
Then, add a few silver leaves for just a touch of elegance without looking gauche.
6. Finishing touches
For the finishing touches, add a bit of flocked cedar to the center of your florals to finish off the shape.
Then, fill in any remaining holes with leftover greenery, fluff your arrangement to perfection, and you’re done!
Your snowy Christmas arrangement is ready to wow.
